Walker and Henry

This is a picture of Walker (a new classmate) and Henry at Kindergarten orientation. I was talking to his mom, who looked EXTREMELY familiar. I ended up realizing we were next door neighbors in Hot Springs for years! I used to babysit her little brother! Very small world! Hopefully Henry and Walker will be good buddies.

Activities

Aida and Henry took a break from activities this summer except for swim lessons and Aida's 6 week dance session...So, we are now back into doing one activity each....I have this rule that one activity is enough since they are so young. Playing outside with all the neighbors is their second and very healthy activity! Aida chose gymnastics over dance for fall. She said she likes it better. Secretly, I think she likes that she doesn't have to wear shoes and tights! She started back up today and did great! Henry chose Karate and now thinks he would rather do T-Ball, but we are sticking with this for the 6 month contract period! It is a lot of fun for him and fun to watch as well.

Henry is on the far left waiting his turn to jump over the noodle and put a block arm up to "fight" the blue small noodle!

Henry's First Day of School

Henry had a great first day of Kindergarten....He likes school so far, but has definitely been tired at the end of the day! On the way home from school on Tuesday, I asked what he did in school and he said "Same thing as yesterday...!" I guess he was a little too tired to go into much detail!

Emma and Henry before we left the neighborhood...We leave at around the same time each morning for school.

My Bug-a-Boo

Oh Henry! Look at you,
No longer Mommy's bug-a-boo!
Big blue eyes say it all,
Ready for school-growing so tall,
We can't believe it is finally here!
Kindergarten - this is your year.
On Monday - Wonderful things to explore -
Not our little baby anymore...
So much to learn, little bugger-dee!
You will love it! Wait and see!

Ok, so the poems are corny, but a little piece of me is going away to Kindergarten Monday and I just can't believe how time has flown!

Aida Loo-Who

Aida Loo-Who - My! How You've Grown!
A little comedienne - Who would have known!
You are witty and smart and keep us in stitches,
Sometimes you act too big for your britches!
Little Sissy - Our shiny Jewel!
You make our lives so happy and full!

Ok, so I am not that great of a poet, but I have been a little misty lately since Henry is going to Kindergarten and Aida is in preschool! I guess Aida's silly picture inspired me. She looks like one of the Who's in Dr. Seuss' Whoville!
