Mediterranean Cruise

This was our first formal night. Nate looks like he is having a dandy time, doesn't he??
We took over 250 pictures, so this is just a sample of our cruise. We had a great time.

Each night they had our towels in the shape of an animal. I guess this is a monkey!

Another formal night on the ship.

A view of Sicily from our balcony as we left for Barcelona.

Palermo, Sicily

A view of Mt. Vesuvius in Naples.

After we toured Pompeii, we relaxed on the ship.

Pompeii - the ancient Roman city covered in ash by Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
This was an amazing place that has been excavated.

A Roman preserved by ash from the Mt. Vesuvius.

Mt. Vesuvius and the ruins of Pompeii.

The pots that soups and other liquids were sold in Roman times along the city streets.

The Coliseum in Rome - We didn't have enough time to go in which was a disappointment, but it was great to walk the perimeter.

St. Peter's Square in The Vatican City in Rome

A little Smart Car which many drove in Europe

A view of The Vatican City and the icky Tibre River.
